2 in 5 workers are ready to quit their jobs, as the ‘Great Resignation’ comes to Australia

Australians are fed up with their jobs and looking elsewhere as the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic forces workers to re-evaluate their careers.

Dubbed ‘The Great Resignation’, the trends has been characterized by an enormous spike in the number of staff leaving their jobs in the face of the pandemic.

Data available suggests the phenomenon is unfolding across Australia and all industries.

Surveying local workers, 40% said they were going to look for a new job within the next six months, while 15% were already actively looking to split from their current employer.
