With steady growth and a strong reputation, we are now seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, the Production Manager will oversee all aspects of production in our busy sheet metal workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage day-to-day production operations over 2 shifts in the sheet metal workshop.
2. Plan and schedule workflow to meet customer deadlines.
3. Supervise and support a team of tradespeople, operators, and workshop staff.
4. Maintain quality control standards and implement continuous improvement.
5. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
6. Provide relevant reporting on outcomes achieved and relevant metrics
7. Monitor stock, materials, and production resources.
8. Liaise with sales, administration, and customers to ensure smooth operations.

About You:

We are seeking a motivated, organised, and practical leader with strong industry knowledge and a focus on results.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

1. Proven experience in a production or workshop management role (sheet metal, fabrication, or related industry).
2. Strong technical knowledge of sheet metal processes, equipment, and folding machines.
3. Excellent people management and leadership skills.
4. Ability to prioritise, delegate, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
5. A commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
6. Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
7. Contemporary IT skills and relevant software experience.
