Swift Metals Australia is on an exciting growth trajectory, having expanded significantly already and with plans to double our business every three years through both organic and inorganic growth. With 30 employees across our sites and a strong foundation of HR practices in place, we are now looking for a skilled and experienced People and Culture Manager to join our team.

 

The Opportunity

As our new People and Culture Manager, you will be integral in supporting our team as we integrate a recent acquisition and continue to build leadership capability across the organisation. We already have HR basics in place, we now need someone who can implement and grow our company with them.

The role includes:

  • Flexible Part-Time Role: Equivalent to 2-3 days per week, with flexible working arrangements to be negotiated
  • Hybrid Working: Blend of working from home and in the office
  • Occasional travel: To our Griffith and Perth sites (and eventually Brisbane).
  • Leadership Focus: Be part of the management team, working closely with the Managing Director.
  • Key Focus for the First 6 Months: Drive culture and integration and build leadership capability.

What We’re Looking For
You’re a seasoned HR professional with the ability to toggle between operational and strategic responsibilities. With a high EQ, intuition, and a knack for leadership, you’ll be critical in shaping the culture of our growing business. Experience in acquisitions is highly regarded but not essential, and while manufacturing experience is welcome, it’s not a requirement.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to work independently in a stand-alone HR role for the first 12+ months.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly to Griffith and Perth, and eventually Brisbane.
  • Experience in driving culture, leadership development, and organisational change.
  • Knowledge of industrial instruments and Awards (no enterprise agreements).
